Your little one is given a healthy, balanced diet while in my care which meets the Mid Michigan Child Care Food Program requirements. Letters, numbers, shapes, colors and themes are introduced during Circle Time and reinforced throughout the day through play. Because children are most comfortable with a set routine, there is a regular time each day for meals and nap, circle time, music, reading, imaginative play, and outdoor play. I encourage little ones to explore materials and their environment with all their senses. It is my philosophy that learning for very young children should be a hands-on, active experience that is safe and inviting. Come visit my daycare to see just how much play and learning goes on. The children will play hard, eat heartily and sleep well. I stay close by to insure their safety but don't interfere with their creative process. They think of possibilities and try them out. Children learn by doing lots of hands-on activities indoors and out. NO worksheets, flashcards, or memorization here. In the process, they have fun learning about math, science, literature, social interaction, different cultures and so much more. The children learn through play they try things out, fail, keep trying and succeed. There are swings, climbers, riding toys, and a big sandbox. I have comfy, kid-friendly furnishings and a big backyard w/ trees and a lush lawn. Take a look at my pictures to get a feel for what I do here. I run Miss Puddle Duck's Day Care which is a Family Day Care in my home.
